The editing space is getting more and more competative every single day with new AIs and new software coming out but with good reason, the industry keeps growing and growing meaning there is more money to be made this is a simple step by step guide on how to actually get clients THIS WEEK that will easily get you a simple side hustle making you an easy $1000 a month 1 editing skills Most editors are extremely lazy and deliver garbage, if this is you, you'll never land a long-term parner so ensure your editing skills are good im talking, clean transitions, optimised for retention, nice pacing there are hundreds of videos out there so get that skill down GOOD and try to stand out, if its sound design, subtitles, transitions anything to make you look more valueble 2. door-to-door advertising this is where most editors do it wrong, they DM 100s of HUGE youtubers saying "hey wanna hire me? i make good edits" DONT DO THIS! i'll tell you a much better way to go about this so, what you need to do is keep scolling on IG reels or yt shorts until you find a poorly edited short, take that short and take around 30 minutes to improve it then send it to them and really give them a vision on how good their videos will be with the help of your editing skills, make it super formal and tell them you have worked with a ton of other youtubers it doesnt even have to be true. this will take a lot of your time since you need to make a video for every person you approach so find someon who is truly passionate about making it and is struggling trust me it may not seem like its paying off but all you need is 1 person to agree 3 pricing most editors think "if i price lower then competition ill get hired" and although that may be true, you need to work way harder to get your bread ive read a study that if you price yourself high, people expect to get the best result upon hiring you which makes a lot of sense, if i see $12 shoes vs $80 shoes, ill pick the $80 since i assume they will be better for my feet in the long run therefore its important to know your worth, no matter where you live, you shoulnd be working for anything less than $20 per hour online so you can either arrange to be paid per hour OR you get an average of how long it takes you to make a high quality post and make it your asking price so for example, if you work 1 hour 30 muntes on a short on average, you charge $30 per short. as you get more customers you can raise the price, i personally charge $50 per short, telll them i put 4 hours of work in while in reality it takes me 30 minutes since i know how to edit fast 4 customers when it comes to customers you need to be clear that the result you get is what you get, ofcourse if you made an error you should fix it but usually i tell them the max amount of revisions i give is 1 if someone asks for the impossible then simply decline, you'll find someone else. its important to be on good terms with your customer because, once you know what they want and they trust you, itll be real fast money, they will send you 5 videos, you edit them in 2-3 hours and boom you made $100+ If you have questions about ANYTHING, dont be scared to hit me up, ill do my best to help u make that bread. unlike a lot of stuff here, this method REALLY works so if you are ever going to give anything on here a proper shot, make it this post. feel free to leave a like as this took forever to perfect personally and im sharing it for free with you guys [Image: PepeBlush.png]
